1960s Vintage Emma Domb Red Chiffon Holiday Christmas Party Dress

Description: WOW! Such a gorgeous example of an Emma Domb! This vibrant red organza piece is absolutely perfect for Valentines Day or a party. The straps are embellished with sequins and pearls - the pearls look to be glued on. I believe the chiffon overlay is a type of nylon. It is expertly gathered around the bodice to form a classic look. There is a satin lining for the dress underneath the chiffon and the underskirt even has a built in red crinoline! Zips up the back with metal zipper. Best fits size Extra Extra Small to Extra Small. Model is Size 4/6 and could not zip it up in the back. Measurements :Bust: 32 inchesWaist: 23 inchesHips: relatively openLength: 40 inchesGood to fair vintage condition - Still presents beautifully and most of the issues are minor - but there are A LOT of them, thats where “Fair” comes in. Please read carefully and look at photos for references. The chiffon has some pulls, loose threads, and faint marks throughout. Some small holes found too - most obvious are the two on the front bodice where its been tacked to the under fabric. The inside lining has some fraying and pulling in the bodice (see photos). Faint underarm marks. Beading and sequins look to be in good shape! There WAS a major (6 inch) rip to the inner tulle for the underskirt which I have stitched up to prevent further ripping. I was unable to remove the markings fully when she was cleaned - but they are at least more faint now! Be very careful when zipping the garment up as the tulle likes to get stuck in the zipper teeth! Priced accordingly for the numerous issues, especially the pulling at the interior bodice). Could be wearable as is, but as always fair vintage pieces make great costumes or study pieces!
