This piece is made of sheep wool and natural vegetable dyes by skilled crafts people of the Baktiari tribe. Field is earthy muted neutral tones with indigo blue purple accents. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving light and dark shades of each color called 'abrash' by curators, giving lots of tone nuance. Double tied knots on two foundation layers for another 100 years of utility and beauty. There is some small antique wear or low pile over the century but durable and clean to serve another century.
