Description: This antique pewter box is a rare find for collectors of cottage core and traditional decor items. The old lidded box is likely made from pewter (though it is not marked and I am not an expert with pewter ware) and is very heavy for its size (3.5 lbs, 6 3/4" H x 5" W x 4" depth). The container was likely made to keep precious items like tea or tobacco fresh and free from pests, but it would make a stunning decorative accent in most any decor. SO unusual!
