Thank you!*** An antique, c. 1800, German Biedermeier (French Empire Napoleon I period; English Regency or Georgian period) trumeau mirror or pier glass (for in between windows), in a Neoclassical architectural shape with Greek peaked pediment top, possibly mahogany veneer with ebony inlay, a beveled mirror, and ormolu rosettes at the corners and top bar, a pair of dogs at the base, and a mythical vignette at the top, featuring a young woman with arrows (Artemis?) rescuing a youth who is chained to a tree while a sleeping king sleeps nearby. 22.75"x54"x2.25". Please note the cracks in the veneer on either side of the top medallion.
