Description: Antique Seth Thomas Westminster Chime Clock ~ Runs And Chimes Good ~ Click images to enlarge Description This nice old clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn., USA during the earlier 1920's. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #124 movement, one of the best mechanical Westminster Chime clock movements ever made. We have not serviced this clock so are selling it as is. However, we have wound it up for a test run and find that it is in good running condition, keeping time and chiming properly. In case you are not familiar with Westminster Chimes, these are the ones that play a tune every 15 minutes; 4 notes on the quarter; 8 notes on the ½ hour; 12 notes at the ¾ hour; and then the full 16 note tune on the hour, followed by the hour toll, i.e. 1 toll at 1:00, 2 tolls at 2:00, etc. It has a beautiful signed Seth Thomas silvered dial with applied brass numerals and solid brass bezel assembly that is in nice condition. The nicely detailed case is in the original finish so will appear authentically aged. This clock has been very well taken care of over the years. Notice the beautiful decorations beneath the dial. This would have been considered a deluxe model when originally sold. The case measurements are 20 ¼" wide x 9 ¼" high x 6 ¼" deep. This clock comes complete with a key and original pendulum. Payment Ebay makes it pretty easy to pay for purchases in just about any way you choose. Any payment that requires time to process (clear) will delay shipping. Email us with questions concerning other forms of payment in addition to those that ebay offers. Shipping Most clocks will be shipped within 5 business days of received payment. We like to give each clock sold a final test run and observation before packing. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. All items are carefully packaged with around 1 ½" of packing material between your purchase and the box. All items are shipped insured. We never anticipate damage but in the event that an incident occurs, we will help with insurance claims as much as possible. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. Normally, all shipping costs are either based on package size and weight, or covered by a specified flat rate. Smaller items can be combined to save shipping costs. Because clocks require large boxes, Priority Mail is usually far to expensive. Therefore,we quote either FedEx or UPS prices in most cases. *For any shipments other than the lower 48 United States, contact us first for a shipping quote before bidding. Do not go by the shipping calculator.* Terms of Sale All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. Antiques clocks are delicate and very difficult to ship properly, and also very expensive to ship. We honestly want you to be happy. We try to keep an excellent feedback rating by being fair and honest. We try to describe all items accurately so that you pretty much know exactly what to expect when your purchase arrives. It should be understood before bidding that all antique clocks, unless otherwise noted, have nicks, tarnished brass, stains, minor dents, possibly touch ups and minor scratches on the glass, all of which are normally acquired from long term honest use. It is nearly impossible to find one in "mint" condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is sold as "in running condition," it means that we have test run it before listing it and feel confident that it will run for you. About Us Mainly, we buy, sell, repair, restore and collect clocks. Once in awhile we do offer other types of antiques and collectibles for sale, but mainly clocks are what we're about. We spend quite a bit of time traveling around the northeast buying clocks and clock parts, and many times we are able to buy large quantities from clock collector estates or clock dealers who are downsizing or closing out altogether. We are a very small, family run enterprise.. Ben handles all repairs in house. He has been restoring clocks since 1976, and a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors since 1978. Jen and Lana handle all of the pictures, listings, marketing and design, as well as some of the restoration work. We all help out in the packing and shipping department and are dedicated to making sure your clock is packaged carefully and properly in order to arrive safely. We also send an instruction sheet by email for each clock sold. Contact Us You may notice that since joining eBay in 2000 our feedback has been positive. We only receive feedback about a third of the time, which means we have actually had several thousand positive transactions over the past 23 years that are not recorded in the feedback system. We definitely don't want any bad feedbacks, so we try to describe everything exactly as it is and if we do something wrong, we will make it right. If you email us on Saturday, itt may be Monday before you hear back from us. We do not use our computers on Sunday, the Lord's day, but will answer any emails Monday through Saturday and although we do not expect any problems, we will do whatever we can to resolve any issues. Please do not wait until late in an auction to ask questions (we may not be here). *Also, please do not ask us to falsify shipping records for international shipping. Honesty is always the best policy.* Images sell! Get Supersized Images & Free Image HostingCreate your brand with Auctiva's Customizable Templates.
