Description: Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Single Essential Oils: D - N Selections No Synthetic Colors or Fragrances, Not Tested On Animals, No Synthetic Colors or Stabilizers, 100% Pure Essential Oils, Paraben Free, Essential oils tested for purity.· Aura Cacia essential oils are distilled from the leaves, roots, flowers, seeds, tops, or fruits of plants. They are the highly concentrated aromatic components of the plants or plant parts from which they are distilled. · Aura Cacia does not use any ingredients or carry any products that are irradiated. · None of Aura Cacia's products are tested on animals. · Aura Caccia tests extensively to ensure that their essential oils are pure and unadulterated · Aura Cacia essential oil bottles are not sealed. They do use a child proof cap that must be pressed down to open. The caps should be pressed down and tightened to prevent leakage. (Sometimes the essential oil may get on the outer ring of the rubber insert (orifice reducer) and need to be wiped off so the bottle can be closed tight enough to prevent leakage.) · In general, we recommend not to apply undiluted oils directly on your skin, and oils should only be used with a recommended dilution based on the particular situation of the person and the intended use of the oil (from 1-10%). A few oils, like lavender and tea tree, can occasionally be applied directly, but in general, dilution is always recommended. With any oil we recommend a skin patch test. Always use caution. · Diluted essential oils can be applied almost anywhere on the body (avoid the eyes, of course). However, the fastest absorption occurs in areas where you have lots of blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. (Many of these are also called pressure points.) The soles of the feet, the wrists, neck and behind the ears are all great spots for applying oils to improve absorption. Warmth also plays a role — your body doesn't absorb oils as well when it's cold. The underarm is also an ideal place to apply oils; it has lots of blood vessels and is also warm. · We don't recommend using essential oils for flavoring food at home due to safety concerns. · Aromatherapy products are regulated by the FDA as cosmetics and must conform to cosmetic labeling regulations. Aura Cacia labels all products in compliance with regulations in order to protect users. Not all companies comply with the law — that's why you may see competing products making claims or statements about the product's supposed benefits that you won't see on an Aura Cacia label. · While the number of drops in a bottle of essential oil varies according to the consistency of the oil, the average drops per bottle for these sizes: 1/8-ounce, 1/2-ounce, 2-ounce and 4-ounce bottles are, from smallest to largest, about 72 drops, 288 drops, 1,152 drops and 2,304 drops. · It's best to store essential oils in closed, glass bottles away from heat and light. While some essential oils may stay good almost indefinitely under ideal conditions, we recommend two years as a good rule of thumb for most oils. Citrus and conifer oils have a shorter shelf life due to certain components that react to oxygen in a way that degrades the oil over time. These oils are best used within 18 months of the manufacture date on the bottle. *************** Eucalyptus (Top Ten) Eucalyptus essential oil is used in diffusion, sauna, shower, and bath blends. It’s often used as a stand alone oil, although it can also be blended with others. The essential oil is added to cleaning products and outdoor patio sprays. For these uses, however, eucalyptus is not typically the dominant oil. Sweet Fennel Seed The aroma of fennel seed essential oil is sweet and warm with a spicy, anise-like quality. It has a balancing effect on the female reproductive system and increases the flow of body energy. Geranium Geranium essential oil has a rose-like aroma with minty undertones. An important ingredient in many skin care products, it provides balancing properties to both dry and oily complexions. Add a few drops to face cleansers to supplement their effects.Geranium essential oil is highly regarded among aromatherapy practitioners. It lifts the spirit while keeping the body relaxed, and its toning and purifying properties make it an excellent oil for skin care applications. Geranium oil is commonly used in diffusions, natural cleaners, laundry detergents, and personal care products. It’s also a great companion in outdoor recipes. Ginger and Fresh Ginger New! A member of the flowering plant family known as the Zingerberaceae family, Aura Cacia ginger essential oil is distilled from the dried rhizome for its earthy and warm aroma. Our Fresh ginger essential oil is distilled from the fresh rhizome for a sweet, citrusy and earthy aroma. We are pleased to offer two ginger oils with distinct aromas that can be used in similar ways.Steam distilled from fresh ginger rhizomes, providing a fresh, citrusy aroma with woody undertones. The aroma of fresh ginger is found to be more pleasing than that of ginger distilled from the dried root, while still providing the plants vast benefits. The earthy aroma of ginger essential oil is a wonderful modifier in blends containing vetiver and citrus oils. You can also create robust sensualizing blends by combining ginger with oils like patchouli and jasmine. Ginger warms and invigorates muscles. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) and Fresh ginger essential oils have a lot to offer in topical blends, massage blends, and in diffusion. It’s considered a universal herb in Ayurvedic medicine. Grapefruit Grapefruit has a tangy, citrus scent that is especially appreciated by children. Combine it with lavender in a bubble bath, or make a refreshing travel mist by blending it with peppermint and water in a spritzer bottle. Grapefruit essential oil finds its way into many energy and relaxation blends. It is used in massage applications and in blends to lift the spirits. The delectable aroma of grapefruit has a pronounced impact on the senses. Grapefruit's sweet and familiar aroma can evoke warm feelings. While grapefruit is a citrus oil, it is known to be non-irritating. This makes it ideal in body applications, personal care products, and cosmetics. However, caution is advised before sun exposure as with all citrus oils. Grapefruit essential oil can cause photosensitivity and should be treated with care in skin applications prior to sun exposure.HyssopHyssop essential oil provides a sweet, herbal scent that blends well with clove, lavender, rosemary, sage and citrus oils. A purifying oil, it can be combined with eucalyptus or spike lavender in a room diffusion. Juniper Berry The fruity, woody aroma of juniper berry combines well with citrus oils in room sprays and adds a masculine scent to aftershaves and colognes. Juniper berry invigorates and cleanses the body of toxins when used in massage oils. Juniper berry essential oil is aromatically well suited for diffusions. It purifies the air and gives off an incredibly refreshing aroma. It’s also nice to breathe in during the winter, when people are confined indoors. Juniper berry can be used in cleaning products, when a pine-like aroma is desired. It is a strong astringent on the skin and can be used in a variety of topical applications, but should be diluted before topical use. Lavandin A natural cross-pollination of true lavender and spike lavender, lavandin gives soaps and detergents a fresh, bracing aroma. Gently purifying, it’s an ideal component of chest rubs or salves for the very young or infirm. Lavandin is an excellent oil for wintertime diffusions. It also lends well to natural chest balm and massage recipes. Due to its camphor and cineole content, Lavandin is considered invigorating, unlike the more relaxing lavender. Lavandin is a cleansing oil, so it can be used both topically and in cleaning products.Lavender (Top Ten) Lavender is well known for its calming and relaxing effects. It's ideal for adults and children, and can be applied topically or diffused in the air. It is commonly used in pillow sprays, personal care products, and bath blends. On the skin, Lavender is soothing and cleansing. Because it's so mild, it finds its way in many products for facial care and in DIY facial recipes.Lavender's cleansing properties are effective in the laundry, as well. It can also be used to clean the home, especially light-colored surfaces, like white tile, granite, and marble. Lavender, Spike Spike lavender oil is almost like a blend of eucalyptus, rosemary, and lavender. It’s ideal for breathing in during the winter, especially in diffusions, saunas, and other steam inhalations, and it makes a great addition to chest balms. Spike lavender’s warming action is also a valued addition to massage blends and body care recipes. Due to its camphor content, spike lavender oil can be irritating to the skin. Dilute it more than you’d dilute lavender, and never use it undiluted on the skin. Lavender Tea Tree Lavender tea tree is cleansing, yet soothing on the face. Because it's a perfect balance of tea tree and Lavender, it's great for many facial formulas addressing irritating and puffy skin.
