All with various names and outfits. Designed for the Adult collectors market, the Barbie Look collection delivers fashion play for the adult collector by providing realistic details for dolls, fashions, and accessories. A must-have for any Barbie Collector. b. The Barbie Look City Shine Doll Collection: The City shine run was a two year run of the Barbie look collection. The run consisted of four dolls manufactured in 2014, and four dolls manufactured in 2015. Just as in the Basic series the Doll were numbered and buyers gave their own names to the dolls. The 2014 line consisted of the following: #1 CFP40 Dark skinned female with Gold hair and Gold outfit, #2 CFP35 for sale, #3 CFP36 Auburn Blonde hair female in a Gold Metallic outfit, #4 CFP38 Black hair hair female bronze tone metallic dress. The concept was to match shinny chic flashy outfits with matching shoes, and accessories to the dolls hair. The results were spectacular. II. Model Overview: "Dressed in an electric-hued ensemble made for a night on the town. This stunning brunette wears a strapless red metallic top with chic black pants. She completes “The Look” with statement earrings, a bracelet, clutch and strappy heels. With rooted eyelashes, flawless makeup and nails, -Mattel Ad for the 2015 CJF51- b. Model Features: Lea/Kayla Face sculpt on Barbie ModelMuse body. In 2002 Barbie introduced the Lea/Kayla head mold. Lea is of Asian descent and Kayla is Hispanic. The two share the same facial mold, with different skin coloring and face paint. the face was quite popular in collector circles. Mattel therefore added it to the Collector range. The skin of collectible dolls spans all colors, from Caucasian to Negro. The doll is made of high end PVC plastic commonly used in rugged Automotive mechanical components. Eye lash are rooted for a more realistic appearance. Her short hair is made of hollow saran a plastic material that is highly approved of by the popular fashion dolls of the world. It is highly esteemed for its beautiful colors, luster, soft touch, and for how easy it is to style the hair. c. Model Finish: Her brown eyes are complimented with artfully applied light metallic silver eye shadow that compliments the eyes. Lipstick is a high gloss fire engine red shade. The outfit top does not have Velcro but snap buttons and her straps to her top are elastic bands. Her accessories contain metallic silver spike dangle earrings, a silver metallic cuff bracelet, a silver with black squares on a silver string clutch purse and black heels. Her fingers contain black nail polish but her toes contain red nail polish. d. Opinion: If you are fan of the 2013, metallic rebirth this entire collection is a must have. The shades and accessories fall in line with the outfit. The hair (entire City Shine line) used hairstyles that matched their outfits. If you are a collector it is a must have. If you are a hobbyist the entire City Shine collection may fit the bill. I like that, as in the Basic line, the dolls were not named giving the end user carte blanche with their imagination. The quality of this model muse body is above average, sturdy and chic. Accessories like shimmering statement jewelry, clutches and strappy black heels. Other realistic details include perfectly coiffed hairdo. I would have like to seen a warmer skin tone, although a cool lighter skin tone is not unheard of for Asians, I just prefer the darker more golden orange tone. III. Box: Original IV.
