This prevents the pellet from getting stuck on the hole for the screw as it is guided into the barrel when the bolt is closed. ***This listing is for the breech only, 2240 XL Breech parts kit is NOT included. In addition to the 2240 XL this breech is compatible with certain Crosman models: 2240, 2250 and 2260 and some 2300 / 2400 models. IT IS NOT compatible with Crosman 13XX models as it does not line up with the hole in the tube for the breech screw.
