Description: Incredible, historic piece of clothing! This vintage 1940s heavyweight letterman sweater looks like it was never even worn. No holes at all! Maroon letter T with an embroidered baseball logo. The sweater is an ivory/ cream colored chunky knit fabric. There is one small yellow mark next to the letter and a few wool spots that look very slightly frayed (shown in photos) The fabric is still very soft and pliable. The stitching on the right side of the letter T wanders off of the letter a bit. It has been stored well for over 70 years. Oakes Bros 100% new wool fabric sold by Dick Fischer athletic goods in Buffalo, NY. Could have been made for Temple University or Tonawanda NY High School.
