Description: This is a Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Full Lace Open Work / Pierced Plate, Number 1/1098. This is a hard-to-find, wonderful piece. The striking pierced, open work border, and the basket weave patterning on the surface make it a very special and sought-after design. The painting is very nice. The dish is factory second quality, made and hand painted in Denmark in the period 1980-1984. The plate measures approximately 10 inches in diameter and 1 5/8 inches in edge height. The plate is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some light, minimal signs of use on the surface of the plate. I am not sure why it is marked as a second -- I cannot find an obvious defect. There is a small surface glaze irregularity shown in final photo that my help explain the factor second designation. It is a wonderful piece that belongs in any blue fluted collection! Please examine the photos and description and reach out with any questions!Carefully packaged in non-smoking, no pets household, and shipped with USPS.
