Description: ITEM INFORMATION Here is a one of a kind piece of production art. It is the original color guide that was made for the Huntress Issue 6. It features the creative team of Joey Cavalieri, Joe Staton, Bob Smith, and Nansi Hoolahan. Color guides were instrumental in the production of comics before computers. The sheets were printed with the line art and then given to colorist to complete with watercolors or inks. The paper that each company used in the process is watermarked on the back. So if you hold it up to the light you can tell if it is authentic or not. Colorists not only brought each page to life with their artistry, but they were also responsible for making sure that they properly coded each part of the page. The codes (YRB) indicate the different percentages of Yellow, Red and Blue that would be needed to produce the desired colors when printed. Due to this, and the fact that the whole drawing and printing process has been moved to computers, these have become incredibly rare, desirable, and valuable. This particular piece was part of the Nansi Hoolahan Collection that I was able to acquire in September 2012. Nansi was not only a colorist and letter for DC Comics in the early 80's but she also was the layout mechanic. What that means is she was one of the last people to work on the production of a book, and consequentially is the reason why she had these items in her collection. This item will come with a COA and will include free shipping. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me with them. Also please check the scans because the art work comes in varying degrees of condition. Thank you. GRADING Although I am not a professional grader, I will usually put what I think the grade is in the description. I do not say this to absolve myself of any responsibilities of grading but to let the buyer know that grading is subjective and that we all may see things differently from time to time. That being said I try to go by the Overstreet grading system and also closely follow the CGC grading scale. I have been doing this for over 25 years and I am usually pretty accurate (Check my feedback). Also what you see in the picture is what you will receive. There are no "stock" photos and the photos that you do see are in high resolution. This ends up being a little bit more work for me but this way you can get the best representation of the item possible, without actually being here with me. And if you need additional scans of any of the items just let me know and I will get them to you. DOMESTIC SHIPPING COMIC BOOKS AND MAGAZINES Shipping and handling costs for any number of books will be $4.00. That means for one book the shipping cost will be $4.00 or for 100 books the shipping cost will be $4.00. No matter how many books you buy the total shipping will only be 4.00. So in other words, shipping is free after the first book. TRADING CARDS Shipping and handling costs for trading cards work the same as for comics except the price is lower. The cost for any number of cards will be 3.50. RECORDS Shipping and handling costs for records will be 4.00. I will combine on shipping for multiple items. ALL OTHER ITEMS Shipping and handling costs for all other items will be stated in the auction. I will combine on shipping for multiple items. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING Unfortunately, I am no longer able to sell to countries outside the United States. It has become too costly and to risky. PACKAGING I will do my best to protect your items by packaging them securely. If they are flat items and only a few they will be sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard and the cardboard will be taped so the items do not move. If there are a lot of items then they will be packaged in a box surrounded by some sort of cushioning material. All books will be bagged and boarded and all trading cards will have a penny sleeve and a top loader. All orders will get bubble wrapped. RETURN POLICY I have been collecting and selling for over 25 years now and have had very few problems. If you get something and are not happy let me know and I will try to work something out. If you are still not satisfied I will give you a full refund, as long as the items are returned to me within 14 days and in the condition they were received in. This will include both the selling price of the item and the original shipping. The buyer is responsible for the return shipping. AUTOGRAPHED ITEMS All of my autographed items will come with a Certificate of Authenticity. This includes CGC Qualified books. All of my COA’s will have both the creators name, event, and date on it. Most will also have a photo of the creator doing the signings at that exact event(The picture may or may not show the exact book. It is a courtesy to sign a book at a convention but the writer or artist cannot be expected to wait for a picture while each book is being autographed). Each COA will also include my custom seal upon it. If it does not have my seal then it is not my Certificate. I pride myself on my reputation and honesty and that is why I will only sell autographs that I have had personally signed or have had a direct line of contact with any item I was not there for.
