The date is derived from a few clues including the Graf Zeppelin cake and the mention of hotelier Karl P. Abbott on another cake (see 2nd image close-up). These unusual behind-the-scenes images capture a Maitre D'Hotel or head waiter, hotel chef, kitchen staff, the kitchen's various culinary creations, and interiors of a Sagamore dining room with banquet table displays. Some History: Twice damaged by fire, in 1893 and 1914, the Sagamore was rebuilt in early 1921. The Sagamore Resort reopened its doors again in 1923, but guests were slow to come back to the destination. To help generate interest, the Green Island Improvement Company hired the respected hotelier Karl P. Abbott to manage the resort. Always an eccentric man, Abbott pursued a wealth of marketing strategies that included hiring a professional team of chefs for the resort's primary kitchen. Negatives Measure Approx 2.75 x 4.5 Inches. In Very Good Condition. Please see photos for further details Thanks for Looking and Good Luck BiddingSW4JC
