Description: This is a RARE VINTAGE ORIGINAL 2-SIDED 1986 POSTER/BANNER featuring the Man of Steel, SUPERMAN! This scarce 1980's DC Comics poster banner is entitled "Superman, the Legend Returns", and it features artwork by longtime DC Comics artist Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. This double-sided Superman poster was produced on very high quality, thick and glossy paper stock. It's practically fit for display in a gallery, and would look magnificent displayed in a frame, if you could decide which side to display! SIZE: This poster measures a good sized 37 inches tall by 18 inches wide, and it shows the familiar figure of Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent running into a telephone booth, and SUPERMAN flying out, about to unleash his superpowers on some super-villain or deal with some crisis! Back in the 80's, the money from the sales of this two sided Special Edition commemorative poster went to "the Never Ending Battle, Inc", which was designed to assist Superman's creators, writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster. Siegel and Shuster's Superman character first appeared in the pages of the golden age Action Comics issue 1 published back in 1938, and also in hundreds of syndicated Sunday newspaper comic strips back in the 1930's and 1940's. ITEM HAS SOME DAMAGE. CREASED AT THE MIDDLE, SOME TEARS AND CREASING. PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURES FOR REFERENCE.
