It is wound from the natural movement of your wrist during the normal course of your daily activities or can be wound manually by twisting of the crown apx 25-30 times. There's just something very sexy & sleek about having an automatic with it's see-through exhibition caseback allowing you to view it's intricate internals as it goes about it's duty of precision timekeeping. This elegant polished classic is apx 23-24 years of age chronologically speaking yet appears to have seen a super limited amount of actual wrist time during this period thus, remains in an overall very good to excellent shape for it's age. Only micro scattered scuff marks to the polished metals. Front & rear crystals appear mark free. The shine is amazing and the watch is a keeper for sure. Even the OEM straps show virtually no obvious evidence of being worn other than a minor indentation where it was fastened to the clasp which should serve as a testament to the overall direct usage (or lack thereof) to the watch. You will love this watch and want to show off with it on. All in all, this watch looks spectacular, remains highly desirable and is sure to provide it's new owner with many more years of dependable service and look very classy doing so. There is just something extremely special about these old school Officers Automatics especially in such a pristine shape as this one. Have your sun glasses ready because this thing really shines. This would make the ideal watch for most any special event, office work or play in style or just add to your collection to proudly display. Watch has always been properly maintained and will arrive as clean as you will ever find. This watch is keeping very good time for an automatic (slightly on the fast side which is what you want) and well within factory accepted tolerances for a watch in this age range. As with any automatic, the timekeeping accuracy will never be as accurate as a quartz battery operated watch and occasionally they do need to be serviced. Having said all that, no warranties are made, expressed or implied as to this watches timekeeping accuracy. Some specifics: Watch measures just over 1 9/16" or apx 40mm across case excluding crown and lugs. Width between the lugs is 19mm. Strap length is apx 9 1/2" or 240mm from tip to tip so please bear this in mind prior to placing a bid/offer. To adjust the strap size to your wrist you will need to remove the spring bar inside the section that shows the words Swiss Army. Simply select your desired setting to the nearest hole. Reinstall spring bar and you're ready to fully enjoy. Included is the awesome watch, basic operation manual and OEM presentation box with factory correct label affixed to bottom only (as seen in pic's/excluding background props).
