Description: Up for auction is a vintage 17 piece “Mother Goose”nursery rhymes tea set. Each plate, cup, saucer set has a different nursery rhyme, and the teapot has a different nursery rhyme. You should be able to see what each nursery rhyme is from the pictures. The set appears to be made of porcelain and is a standard size for a little girls tea set. It was made by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You can see the details of the inspiration from the piece of paper shown in the last picture. Everything comes brand new in the original Styrofoam box. It has never been used, but there is some tape residue on a couple of the pieces from the bubble wrap being taped to it for so many years. You should be able to see this in the pictures. There is not very much of the residue, and you should be able to get it off very easily. Otherwise mint condition. The top of the Styrofoam box is broken. Beautiful Set. Ultra rare.
