The tile is a hand painted multicolored faience majolica glazed ceramic tile. The tile depicts a scene of Maternity of a mother and child, after the original artwork by the artist: Uga Lucerni. The ceramic tile is mounted in a wooden Florentine Italian style picture frame. The tile is mounted into the frame, so I can not check the back of the tile to see if it is marked by a maker (see photos). The item is from Italy (see photos). This item measures in total framed about 11 inches high, and it is about 7+ inches wide. The tile portion without the picture frame measures about 8 inches high, and it is about 4 inches wide. The item is from an estate liquidation. The frame has some scuffs, finish loss and some wear (see photos). The tile has crazing and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a very nice vintage framed Italian ceramic tile plaque to add to your collection.
