The rod was purchased new in the late 1950's at Corcoran's of Stoughton MA and has never been used. It has never had a reel mounted to it. It is flawless in every way. It will be shipped in a Yazoo Mills Extra Heavy Duty Shipping Tube with 1/2" wall thickness-you could literally drive over this tube and not crush it.
