Description: VINTAGE WALTHAM c1950'S DRAMATIC BATWING LUG MANUAL SUBSECOND 17J WATCH~RUNNING. Item Is Pre-Owned; Item Is Sold "AS IS"; Shipped USPS GROUND ADVANTAGE. Offered for auction is this dramatically styled circa 1940's to 1950's ribbed batwing extended lug wristwatch. Measuring an impressive 38mm in length and 30mm wide excluding the crown, this timepiece will generate stares and favorable comments wherever it is worn. The 10k gold filled case is in very good condition with less than the expected fine surface scratches one would expect of a watch of this vintage. Although there are surface scuffs on the crystal, the view of the clean white dial with golden arrow and Arabic hour numbers and black outer minuets track is unobstructed. The caliber 1155, 17j manual movement currently winds, sets and keeps some semblance of time; however, unerring accuracy is not guaranteed, nor should it be expected. If optimal timekeeping is desired, a cleaning and adjustment is recommended. Fitted is a gold plated band in very good condition. Please review all the pictures as they represent far more accurately the items condition than any verbal description that I can provide.
