Description: This is a piece I have tried to find more information on but have not been able to.It appears to be an original signed number commemorative art piece from The Dallas World Trade Center which had the dedication opening on July 6, 1974.This piece is marked across the top as Maxwell and is numbered 41/200 and signed P. Maxwell. It also has the World trade Center Dallas on the front along with the opening date.Could find no info on Maxwell or the bottom that reads Multiple Originals Inc. Suite 604.Perhaps an art or decorating company to create the piece to commemorate the opening. The piece measures approx. 30" X 22.75" and is set in the frame with attached acrylic sides and front as shown. The piece inside the frame has a center circular interior with the designs being raised off the paper as shown. The edges have some wear through the past 50 years as shown in the pictures. Also in picture 12 you see an embossed writing on the top right corner but unsure what it reads.Picture 11 shows a scratched spot on the acrylic front. Architecturally it was designed to highlight modern designed elements which with that thought process it could help explain the raised patterns of this piece. The opening dedication was highlighted by Vice President Geral Ford giving a speech on site that day as to what the WTC was envisioned to accomplish. I believe this is a very rare piece of the opening date of July 6, 1974 of the Dallas World Trade Center. If anyone can provide me more information on the history of this piece I would love to hear from you. This seems like the type of piece that even today would still have a place hanging inside the DWTC.
